The success of the “Knowledge Contest on Quality Productivity among Students” (ProductiveNOW) in the Northern region of Viet Nam in 2024

On November 25, the Youth Union and the Office of Commission for the Standards, Metrology and Quality of Viet Nam (STAMEQ) coordinated to organize the “Knowledge Contest on Quality Productivity among Students” (ProductiveNOW) in the Northern region (Hanoi). This is the first nationwide contest for students in Viet Nam focused on quality productivity.

The contest in Hanoi was attended by Dr. Ha Minh Hiep – Acting Director-General of STAMEQ, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach – Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Tran Duc Thang – Head of the Financial Planning Department, Mr. Pham Le Cuong – Deputy Chief of the Office and Head of the contest organizing committee, Ms. Tran Hai Ninh – Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Secretary of the Youth Union of STAMEQ, along with representatives from universities and colleges for the participating teams.

In his opening speech, Dr. Hiep stated that after endless effort, STAMEQ has successfully organized the first contest on Productivity in Vietnam for students. ProductiveNOW is seen as the first success and also opens a new journey for the productivity movement among students across the country.

ProductiveNOW revolves around general knowledge of productivity and quality through live sharing sessions on productivity and quality at universities and colleges, as well as online training sessions on tools for enhancing productivity and quality organized by STAMEQ in coordination with universities and colleges during the period from 2023 to 2024. It also includes projects and plans for improving and enhancing productivity and quality in everyday life, schools, and businesses.

The qualifying rounds of ProductiveNOW will take place on November 25, 27, and 29, 2024, in three regions of Vietnam: the North, the Central, and the South, to select 05 outstanding teams representing these regions to advance to the final round, which is scheduled to be held on December 27, 2024, in the capital city of Viet Nam – Hanoi

The qualifying round of ProductiveNOW in the North was lively, exciting. Two teams among 5 short-listed ones from two universities to advance to the final round.
