On June 25, 2024, the Youth of the Commission for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam (STAMEQ) attended a P-Talk with the topic: “The Art of Digitalization: A Dive to e-Estonia”.
The talk was hosted by Dr. Stephan Barde, a leading expert on digital transformation from Estonia, with the participation of Dr. Ha Minh Hiep, Acting Chairman of the Commission for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam.
During the talk, Dr. Barde emphasized that in order to succeed in digital transformation, it is necessary to build people’s trust in the government. Estonia has done this by implementing transparent and open policies and creating conditions for people to participate in the digital transformation process.

In addition, digital transformation is a joint effort of both the public and private sectors. Estonia has closely cooperated between these two sectors to implement successful digital transformation projects.
According to Dr. Barde, AI can play an important role in improving the quality of public services. Estonia has used AI to develop chatbots, virtual assistants and other online public services.
Digital transformation is a long journey and requires perseverance and determination from both the political system and the people. Estonia has encountered many challenges in the process of digital transformation, but they have overcome these challenges by having a clear strategy, strong leadership and active participation of the people.
The P-Talk with the theme: “The Art of Digitalization: A Dive into e-Estonia” provided the Youth of the Commission with valuable knowledge and experience in digital transformation. This knowledge and experience will help the Youth of the Commission in contributing to promoting the digital transformation of the Commission and the country.
