ISO Asia-Pacific Regional Forum: ISO 18091:2020 in Hai Phong City

On 31st January, Dr Ha Minh Hiep – Acting Director General of STAMEQ, reported the result of the project about the pilot application of TCVN ISO 18091:2020 at the People’s Committees of districts, wards, and communes in Hai Phong City in ISO Asia Pacific Regional Forum.
The ISO Asia-Pacific Forum is a monthly event of Asian regional member organisations to keep updated on ISO’s most essential operations and exchange, share, and learn from regional experience.
After the introduction and interview of Dr Sung Hwan Cho – the new ISO President, Dr Ha Minh Hiep – Acting Director General of STAMEQ, presented a presentation to member nations of the ISO in the region Asia-Pacific about the pilot application of TCVN ISO 18091:2020 at the People’s Committees of districts, wards, and communes in Hai Phong City, Viet Nam in 2023.
Work performed with six steps: (1) Preliminary information Survey; (2) Basic knowledge training, Focused training on standards; (3) Give Instructions for developing a set of indicators and self-assessment according to Appendix A of the Standard; (4) Analyze assessment results and develop an action plan; (5) Guide the implementation of the Action Program; (6) Report on results of Action Program implementation. He also emphasized that deployment focuses on self-assessment of the government’s Integral Quality Management according to indicators and building an action program.
ISO and other regional member countries highly appreciate the positive results that Viet Nam has achieved and its experience in implementing consulting and training activities. They hope that STAMEQ will continue to contribute to the overall achievements of the region actively.
