The Covid-19 pandemic has negatively impacted the lives, societies and economies of countries, so inclusive and sustainable development is an urgent need. In that context, science and technology play an important role on all three pillars of sustainable development, namely economic development, social development and environmental protection.
Developing science, technology and innovation is the basis for improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy. Therefore, each country needs to fully realize and identify science and technology as the foundation for promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
To discuss and evaluate the role of science and technology in the goal of inclusive and sustainable development, the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) will organize an APO Talk program with the theme: “Science and technology” in the goal of inclusive and sustainable development”. The program was held on December 15 in an online format, with the participation of guests – Dr. Fortunato Dela Peña, Minister of Science and Technology of the Philippines, and Dr. Ha Minh Hiep, Deputy Director General in charge of the General Department of Quality Assurance (Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam).
