Experience sharing on Benchmarking and Productivity Strategies with Malaysia and Taiwan

Implementing the productivity tasks within the working framework between Mr Chu Ngọc Anh – Minister of Science and Technology and Mr Santhi Kanoktanaporn Secretary General of the Asian Productivity Organization. Vietnam Delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Deputy Director General of Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality visited and worked with the Malaysial Productivity Corporation (MPC) and the Chinese Productivity Coporation, Taiwan (CPC) from 13-17 November 2017 to learn, share experiences on building of benchmarking systems and national productivity strategies. Members of Viet Nam Delegation to participate in this work were leaders and productivity specialists from the Vietnam Productivity Institute, Training Center, representatives form the International Cooperation Department of STAMEQ and experts from the advice council on benchmarking of MOST.
During the two-day working day in Malaysia, MPC experts introduced to the delegation on productivity policies of Malaysia and their implementation plan, participation of MPC and other stakeholders to implement productivity plans, productivity calculations, benchmarking and benchmarking online networking database (BOND)- an online database that allows organizations to participate in calculating productivity, comparing and learning good practices from other organizations, some examples of good practices in applying benchmarking and the BOND system for businesses, how to make a national productivity report.
In Taiwan, the delegation was introduced by on the activities of preparing and promoting productivity in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution the CPC experts, the practical experience of evaluating productivity of organizations and business according to 4.0 industrial revolution, requirements and innovation initiatives for businesses in the digital age, experience for developing strategies and policies on CPC productivity for long-term goals.
Also within the framework of the program, the delegation had worked with the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), one of Taiwan’s leading technology research institutes, to discuss the next cooperation plans on field of intelligent lighting and green technology.
Deputy Director General Nguyen Hoang Linh said that the visit and the work are very useful and meaningful to learn experiences in building the benchmarking system and productivity strategy. from high productivity economies. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for STAMEQ to prepare the necessary conditions, promptly advise MOST on implementing the overall task of productivity in general as well as the development of a benchmarking and good practice system on serving Vietnamese enterprises in particular under the direction of the Government implementing Resolution 05-NQ / TW of 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party.
